TE Raychem Plug-In Terminations RPIT separable connectors are designed for both Aluminum or Copper conductors in accordance with IEC 60228 and are compatible with inner cone bushings Size 2 (800 A) and Size 3 (1250 A) as per EN 50180/EN 50181. TE’s Raychem RPIT are available for system voltages from 12 kV up to 52 kV for any type of cable and are compliant with CENELEC HD 629.1.S2:2006- A1:2008 (up to 42 kV) and IEC 60840 (52 kV)

1.3. Separable Screened Elbow Type Terminations

RSSS/RSES Elbow/Straight Connectors – TYPE “A” Interface (Upto 24KV)

RSES/RSSS are designed to be used with Type “A” Bushing according to EN 50180/EN 50181 specified for 250A continuous current. The RSES and RSSS connectors are compliant with CENELEC HD 629.1 S2 02/2006+A1:2008. and tested for a system voltage up to 24 kV.

Raychem High voltage three-piece joints with heat shrink re-jacketing, both in-line or shield break are designed for voltages up to 145 kV and to operate under severe environmental conditions. The EHVS is designed such that it is compatible with polymeric insulated cables independent of the manufacturer and can be adapted with respect to grounding required for various cable constructions.

Link Boxes are used for earthing and bonding cable sheaths of single core cables so that the induced voltages and circulating currents are eliminated or reduced. TE Connectivity’s Raychem link boxes have reliable design and the housing is made of stainless steel. The enclosure is water and dust tight type tested to fulfil the requirements of protection class IP68 for installations below ground
